The Age of Miracles

The Indian Montessori Foundation is proud to publish for the first time the previously unpublished lectures of Maria Montessori given in 1944 in Sri Lanka (Ceylon).

The courses given in the subcontinent all through the war years were intensive and three months long. On this course Dr. Montessori gave powerful theory lectures that set out the stages and details of the child’s development. She was accompanied and assisted by her son Mario Montessori, who usually translated for her. These lectures were taken down word for word, set as galley proofs and distributed to the students for study.

This book is edited from such a set of precious proofs.
