The Montessori Society envisions a united, vibrant community of Montessorians across the UK – educators, leaders, researchers and advocates working together to advance authentic Montessori practice for the 21st century.
We strive to bring people together through rich knowledge‑development forums and collaborative professional networks. Our vision is to empower every Montessorian in the UK to deepen their practice, expand their understanding and contribute to meaningful research that strengthens the Montessori movement.
We also aim to further Montessori principles and practice in the UK by providing information to the public. Increasingly, research is revealing Maria Montessori’s ideas as relevant to other fields of study including psychology and neuroscience, in addition to education.
Her vision for humanity was ‘peace through education’ and this remains our purpose. We are supported in this mission by our Board, our members and the drive to place Montessori philosophy at the heart of our people systems.
